My mum says, "When it's summer, you have to make the most of it, because it only lasts 3 months - and there are 6 months of winter after that."
She's right - I think.
So yesterday, along with my sister and aunt, we went down to my favourite part of London - the West End. I love it because it's "American Paradise" - they sell American stuff, you can eat at American restaurants (like TGI Friday's) and... meet American Boys!
I had my phone with me, so I could take photos of whatever caught my eye. I got hold of USA Today in Leicester Square - it had a sports paper inside it. (To read about what's going on in the American sports world!
) All over the place, pigeons were in large numbers. Some were sitting on a signpost which stood next to Burger King. Others were on the restaurant roofs, watching the world go by. There were even more in the gardens. Problem is... they're not supposed to be there.
!
But what's all this talk about pigeons? I was here in the West End for American Boys - I needed to satisfy my American cravings. That's exactly what I did when we were strolling down Oxford Street later on and I spotted this mini-supermarket for American Boys - just like the one I found in the shopping centre last month, but bigger...
Froot Loops, Apple Jacks and Golden Grahams were being sold, but there were also POP TARTS - American Boys' favourite treats! (Mmm... I wanna eat some!
) Hiding under a box of Lucky Charms was a Jack Daniel's. There must be LOTS of American supermarkets in London... I like that.
An American Apparel shop caught my sight. The names of cities where you can find outlets were written on it - and Seattle's one of them!
I was so ecstatic and snapped away at it - I even took a photo of a star logo saying "Crafted With Pride In Los Angeles, California," and another of a flag proudly announcing, "Made In USA."
I had such a terrific time that at the end of the day, I was so tired. I'll keep returning, so I can have more fun in American Paradise!
