My mum says, "When it's summer, you have to make the most of it, because it only lasts 3 months - and there are 6 months of winter after that."

She's right - I think. :XD: So yesterday, along with my sister and aunt, we went down to my favourite part of London - the West End. I love it because it's "American Paradise" - they sell American stuff, you can eat at American restaurants (like TGI Friday's) and... meet American Boys!

I had my phone with me, so I could take photos of whatever caught my eye. I got hold of USA Today in Leicester Square - it had a sports paper inside it. (To read about what's going on in the American sports world! :lmao:) All over the place, pigeons were in large numbers. Some were sitting on a signpost which stood next to Burger King. Others were on the restaurant roofs, watching the world go by. There were even more in the gardens. Problem is... they're not supposed to be there.!

But what's all this talk about pigeons? I was here in the West End for American Boys - I needed to satisfy my American cravings. That's exactly what I did when we were strolling down Oxford Street later on and I spotted this mini-supermarket for American Boys - just like the one I found in the shopping centre last month, but bigger...

Froot Loops, Apple Jacks and Golden Grahams were being sold, but there were also POP TARTS - American Boys' favourite treats! (Mmm... I wanna eat some! =P) Hiding under a box of Lucky Charms was a Jack Daniel's. There must be LOTS of American supermarkets in London... I like that. :)

An American Apparel shop caught my sight. The names of cities where you can find outlets were written on it - and Seattle's one of them! I was so ecstatic and snapped away at it - I even took a photo of a star logo saying "Crafted With Pride In Los Angeles, California," and another of a flag proudly announcing, "Made In USA."

I had such a terrific time that at the end of the day, I was so tired. I'll keep returning, so I can have more fun in American Paradise! :w00t:

I had a weird dream last night. It was so weird, I decided I'd share it with you all.

Barack Obama, the President of that great country known as the USA, got into my mind while I was asleep. When I saw him, I was so shocked! :o

I said, "Hey! I saw you becoming President of America - what are you doing in my sleep?" He turned around and saw me! "I know you! You're the creator of American Boys, aren't you?" I was a bit surprised. "Yes," I replied.

The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is what's getting at a lot of American Boys at the moment, so I asked him if he was trying to save them from the oil. He nodded and said that he was doing everything he could to save them. However he added that it could take a few months before the problem could be solved, because the spill's so big. :(

We smiled at each other, and I said, "Thanks, Mr. President." Suddenly everything went black and I was back in bed. I looked around the room and at my sleeping sister.  "It was just a dream..." I thought, shrugging. Then I fell asleep again.

Although it was strange, the dream means two things: Obama is going to save America from the oil, and I'm following him, because he's my idol. :)

Today is the 4th of July. What's so special about this day? It's obvious: today is the day American Boys celebrate the day their country was born, the day they feel proud of their nationality, the day they became independent from Britain. You've probably guessed by now: it's INDEPENDENCE DAY! :woohoo:

I'm really excited - because it's America's day, obviously. :XD: To celebrate, I might be going out - to the park or to Central London. :D

When Independence Day comes along, the whole of America wants to show how much they love their country. They dress up in American costumes, wave American flags, and yell things like, "YAY! WE LOVE AMERICA!!!!" They hold parties... and at night, the fireworks! :w00t: Red, white, and blue explosions in the jet-black sky make American Boys cheer loudly. They're enjoying themselves! :)

If any American Boys are reading this, here's what I say to them: feel proud to be American. Happy July The Fourth!

:flagus:

Yesterday, I was in a shopping centre with my mum and my aunt, looking around at everything the shops were selling. When suddenly, something caught my eye. It was...

A mini "supermarket." And on it, there was food for American Boys! :P They looked so irresistible. There were Lucky Charms, Oreos, Butterfingers, Hershey's chocolates... OMDG, when I become American I'm going to eat TONS of these! :boing:

I took lots of photos with my mobile phone. There was also Welch's purple grape juice and Jolly Time popcorn - "Product Of USA," the box proudly announced. And JELLY BEANS!

But it wasn't just sweet stuff - there was savoury stuff, too. Just next to the jelly beans, New York-style snacks were being sold. The problem (or should I say good thing) was that they weren't made in New York... they were made in Tulsa, Oklahoma.!

To finish off, I went to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, where I caught sight of a T-shirt saying, "Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - Since 1937." Under the slogan, it said: "Winston-Salem, NC, 27102." Now I know that KKD started in North Carolina, i.e. Winston-Salem! :lmao: I learnt something new there. :D BTW, a cap was also on sale - it had the KKD logo printed on it. :meow:

I've gone up a level in "Living Like An American." The Ultimate Guide To The USA was right: America really IS closer than I thought! :XD:
